Agrimonia (Xian He) is an herb used in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) for a wide variety of health supporting qualities. Agrimony leaves are rich in vitamin K and are used in TCM to promote blood clotting and control bleeding [1]. The plant contains agrimonin, this is haemostatic, cardiotonic and been known in TCM to lower blood sugar [2]. The root is an astringent, diuretic and tonic [3]. Immune or Idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP) is a bleeding disorder. In ITP, the blood doesn't clot as it should due in large part to lowered platelet counts.[4]*
