Twilight Time™ is a blend of nutrients that, when taken before bedtime, may provide nutritional support for restful sleep and positive mood*.

L-Tryptophan is an essential amino acid that is found many foods and dietary supplements. According to medlineplus.gov, L-tryptophan has been used by people with sleep apnea, depression, insomnia, bruxium (grinding teeth when sleeping), ADHD, Tourette's syndrome, anxiety, and premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD).  L-tryptophan's appeal comes from the understanding that the body uses L-tryptophan to enhance its serotonin synthesis which is important for emotional well-being and getting a more restful night of sleep. Foods that contain L-tryptophan include sesame seeds, turkey, Parmesan cheese, pork chops and oats.

Lemon balm contains natural chemicals that may have a sedative and calming effect. Lemon balm, also called Melissa officinalis, a member of the mint family, and is considered a calming herb. Lemon balm was used long ago in the Middle Ages to reduce stress and anxiety and to promote sleep. There are many research studies looking at the potential uses of lemon balm in regards to mood, cognition, anxiety, sleep and memory as described in a published study from the Journal of Ethnopharmacology that looked at long time traditional uses in European countries, Mediterranean regions and the Middle East.  

5-HTP (5-Hydroxtryptophan) is a dietary supplement ingredient that is often derived from the Griffonia simplicifolia plant and may be used to support healthy sleep/wake cycles, increased serotonin levels in the brain, improved emotional well-well being and for appetite control.*  

L-Theanine is an amino acid and is the natural component in green tea that is responsible for its unique characteristic taste. L-Theanine is believed to be the component in green tea that provides relaxation effects.* L-Theanine can be taken as a nutritional dietary supplement ingredient and may support healthy relaxation, healthy sleep support, and healthy stress management.

Hops is a plant that has been used for over a thousand years.  The flowering part of the plant has been used traditionally around the world to support the body in areas relating to sleep disorders such as insomnia, anxiety, nervousness, attention deficit-hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), restlessness, irritability and tension.

Melatonin: According to the National Institute of Health (NIH), melatonin supplements may help some people with certain sleep disorders and may include conditions such as sleep problems, jet lag, insomnia and other sleep problems such as delayed sleep phase disorder (one in which people go to bed but can’t fall asleep until several hours later).
